Have you been hopping along for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags? Each day of the hop, a different company is sharing inspiring tags, and so far, the hop has been amazing! Check out the sponsors… Yes, that’s right; sponsors equal prizes!
Today, Heffy Doodle is the featured company and I get to play along! (Don’t worry, you can play along too 😉 ) I used images from the Santa’s Village and Wanna Build a Snowman stamp sets to stamp, emboss, and Copic color the tree and characters on a scrap of cardstock. Then I repeated the process with two buildings on a white tag. I cut out the characters and tree with the coordinating dies. I masked off the buildings on the tag, and ink blended a light background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and a makeup brush. I love how much more control I have of my blends with makeup brushes.
I used a combination of glue and foam tape to attach the die cut images to the tag, and splattered on fine drops of white ink to make the scene snowy. Then I cut a slightly longer tag from red cardstock and glued the two together, with a strip of washi tape under the scene. On the back of the red tag, I stamped and embossed to and from using stamps from the Interactively Yours set. Ribbon, baker’s twine, and some flat-backed gems finish the tag.
I’d love to know what you think! Do you make gift tags for the holidays? Would you like to share them? You can link them to the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog party and let the world see! That is also one of four ways to enter to win prizes! All of the details can be found here. Ready for more inspiration? The rest of the Heffy Doodle design team has some gorgeous today!
