You know that feeling when you need a card that’s equal parts hilarious and adorable? This dancing pill bottle project is exactly that. Using Snap n Slide mechanisms from Pear Blossom Press and some mini brads, we’re creating characters that literally dance back and forth when you pull a tab. The best part is this technique works with any critters or elements you want to bring to life!
The secret to making this work is creating hinged connections that rotate smoothly, so I paired the Snap n Slides with some mini brads and scraps of cardstock. Give yourself a little extra wiggle room with your pull tab length, don’t mash those brads completely flat, and you’ll have dancing characters that’ll make everyone smile.
When I make cards like this, I layer up thin elements like the arms and legs and any pull-tabs to make them sturdy. Then I used Sticky Spots and to easily add my pill and pill bottle directly on top. From the punny sentiments to the shimmery confetti background, this card brings so much joy.
