Hello and welcome back to the Pear Blossom Press Blog! Enza Gudor here, and today I’m sharing a sweet card featuring Candle Lights. These lights have the super fun feature of staying on for approximately 60 seconds, or until you blow them out – perfect to surprise your loved ones on their special day!
I used die sets by A Pocket Full of Happiness for my card.

SUPPLIES:
Candle Light
World’s Greatest Foam Tape – Pear Blossom Press
Gems – Yellow Candle Flames – Pear Blossom Press
PB PRESS Stamp and Die Bundle
Make a wish – A Pocket Full of Happiness
Contrail Hearts – A Pocket Full of Happiness
Birthday Sentiments – A Pocket Full of Happiness
Cardstock – Scrapbook.com
CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
I started by using the Contrail Hearts set to die-cut my A2 panel. What’s cool about this set is that it will trace the two main hearts and only cut the small hearts inside, allowing you a variety of color combinations. I went with a monochromatic card, with green and blue hues, and touches of yellow.
After backing the hearts with colored cardstock and deciding on the placement of the three candles, I punched a hole behind the wick of the middle candle, making sure to offset it a bit to the right, so that the blowing mechanism would work. Next, I traced the shape of the battery unit onto the paper to ensure the right placement, and adhered everything down with foam tape, like in the picture below. You can also see the little hole in the top right area of the card.

I finished the card with a sentiment and little hearts cut from the same colored cardstock.

I hope you feel inspired to create with Candle Lights. They are fun and playful – my kids’ eyes got really big when I showed this card to them 😉
