There’s nothing like a good shaker card, am I right? I really love them. And today, I’m sharing a quick and easy one that only uses one die set. Isn’t it great when we come up with a design that only requires minimal supplies?
Speaking of supplies, here are the products you’ll need if you want to recreate this card…
Supply List
Doodle Flowers Die
i-Mend PRO Deck Cutting Deck
Infinity Shaker Covers
When I say this card was quick and easy to create, I mean it. I think it took me less than 15 minutes to put it together. I started by die cutting i-crafter’s Doodle Flower background from black glitter paper and the words THANK YOU three times each from white cardstock. (The words are included in the die set.) Using my PRO Deck makes the cutting process so nice. It doesn’t warp, so I can lay my dies and paper out without having to worry about them shifting. I love it!
Next, I glued the black glitter flower piece to a pink A2 sized panel. Then, I folded and adhered three sides of an Infinity Shaker Cover to the panel. This formed a pocket that I could sprinkle my shaker bits into. After sealing the fourth side, I adhered it to an A2 card base. The last step was to stack up the words and glue them to the front of the card. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. What do you think?
The cool thing about infinity shakers is that they don’t use any foam tape, so they’re nice and flat to fit into envelopes, but with all of the room under the window, they still have lots of movement. Especially, when you use the Infinity Shaker Covers from Waffle Flower! They are made with stiff acetate, so they naturally bow out and give shaker bits lots of space to dance.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope I’ve inspired you to give this a try! I’ve been trying my hand with different videos, so I filmed the making of this card and turned it into a short reel for Instagram. Let me know what you think! I’ll be back soon with another fun card to share.
