Hey crafty friends, I’m so excited to introduce you to a brand new company, i-crafter, started by my talented and wonderful friend, Lynda Kanase! You may have seen some sneak peeks of the new dies on social media, but Lynda’s goal was to keep everything a surprise to be revealed at Creativation. Today is the big day; the show floor opens this morning and now we get to share! (Be on the lookout for lots of pictures/videos on Facebook and Instagram from the show!)
I made a bunch of samples for the January release, so many that I can’t go into detail on all of them here, but I wanted to show you and then hit the highlights. I’ll go into more detail later this month.
First up, lets talk about the Zip Gift Tags. This die set is awesome!!! The idea is that you cut two tags out, and sandwich a gift card in between when you glue them together, back-to-back. On the top tag, you die cut the zipper, and decorate with your choice of images and words. On my red tag, I used the zipper and word CONGRATS, and I decorated it with Making Faces dies. For the pink box, I cut two tags, and connected them with a strip of cardstock to turn them into a gift bag. I die cut a heart and sentiment from both tags and backed them with glitter paper to decorate them. For the tag book, I die cut a bunch of tags from a pattern paper pack and added some die cut embellishments. I connected the tags with a D-shaped binder ring and tied on some ribbon. The tags are the perfect size for framing Instax photos, gift cards, business cards, ATCs, etc. I’m hoping we can fill this book up with Creativation photos at the i-crafter booth!
Next, let’s talk about the Heart Hand Wiper Die Set. This set has an awesome wiper mechanism that is really easy to use. You tuck the hands in and as you open your card, the hands come together to form a heart. It’s adorable. The set also has a beautiful scripty love sentiment and a neat striped heart. You can decorate your wiper cards, or like I did with the white card, use them separately. Notice how I used the love die to emboss the background? This set is very versatile.
The Heart Maze Die set coordinates so well with the Amaze Me Stamp set, but they stand on their own and can be used separately too. I used the die set to make a 3D maze and to help it stand up, I turned it into an easel card. It was simple to make. Three light pink hearts make up the easel, a pattern paper heart makes the background for the maze, white fun foam make the maze walls, then a clear acetate heart and a white cardstock maze top it off. I slipped a flat-backed pearl in to slide around and decorated with more die cut pieces from the set.
The Making Faces dies are really fun for decorating cards. They have a hipster feel, but you can mix and match glasses and facial features to create lots of different characters. I even turned one into Harry Potter! You can color the faces, or just cut them from colored cardstock. Don’t forget a coat of Diamond Glaze over the glasses for extra shine.
So which is your favorite so far?! I can’t pick; I love them all! Head on over to i-crafter to pick up your favorites now! And when you’re ready for more inspiration, hop along with us to see everything the team has created with these stamps and dies…
