Love You More – Christmas Frost

Hey crafty friends, the new release from The Rabbit Hole Designs hits stores today, and I’m going to be sharing fun projects all week featuring the new stamps and stencil! This release is focused on Christmas, and I just love it!

First up, let me show you the Love You More – Christmas Frost set. Do you recognize this couple from the Valentine and Mother’s/Father’s Day sets? They’re back for Christmas, and they couldn’t be sweeter!

I wanted to make a quick and easy card first. Christmas is right around the corner, and it’s getting to the point where fast cards will really help us knock down that long list. In fact, most of my cards this week will be pretty quick to replicate.

I started by stamping, embossing, and Copic coloring my image. (I actually stamped up a few pages of images and colored them all while I was watching TV.) I added some white, gold, and copper gel pen highlights for an extra pop. I coated his glasses with Diamond Glaze before adding the white highlight on top (after it was dry). I used my ScanNCut to fussy cut for me, but there are coordinating dies if you prefer.

To pull the card together, I cut a purple pattern paper background down, leaving a narrow border, added a doily, then a strip of green pattern paper. I popped my couple up with foam tape and decided to add a die cut sentiment banner and mistletoe bouquet above them. A smattering of clear flat back gems finished the card off nicely. I really love how this one came together. The soft purple background acts as a neutral, and let’s the more traditional Christmas colors on the couple stand out. And did you notice that pretty little blue box in his stack? I mean, every girl likes a blue box from time to time, right?

Have you started on your holiday cards yet? Do you usually sent a lot out? My list always starts small, and before I know it, there are 150 names on my list. I like to mix things up and make a handful of each card. That way I can save some time with an assembly line, but not make so many of the same card that I get sick of them. Plus, that way I can pair up the right card with the right with recipient. We all have that one friend who loves sass, and an aunt who doesn’t, right? πŸ˜‰

Ready for more inspiration? Hop along with us and get ready to be wowed! Plus, there are prizes up for grabs! Oh, and a little birdie told me The Rabbit Hole Designs has a very limited number of EZ-Lights back in stock!
