Hey crafty friend, today I’ve got a pair of Christmas cards featuring images from I Need Some Space by Kindred Stamps. Aren’t they fun? If you’re not familiar, Kindred Stamps makes fan art stamp sets based on pop culture. This set is based on of one of my kids’ favorite TV shows. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to put the angel on top of a Christmas tree. Once I got started, I decided to put the police box on top of another tree and I thought it would be fun if that tree was blue.
For both cards, I started by creating galaxy backgrounds. I made sure to add a healthy dose of shimmer spray over the backgrounds so they would have a nice bit of shine to them. While those were drying, I stamped, embossed, and Copic colored my images, then added a coat of Aqua Shimmer on top. My ScanNCut helped me fussy cut them out, without any border. I die cut a bunch of pine branches from blue and green paper. I also cut out a pair of bows and the word Christmas from glossy white paper.
For the angel card, I stamped and embossed the top portion of the sentiment onto vellum. I performed a little stamp surgery on sentiments from Llama Get This Straight and Time Traveler (retired) for it. Then I glued the die cut word underneath and wrapped the vellum around the galaxy that had the green pine branches glued on. I glued that to a black card base and popped the angel up with foam tape. A few sequins and the bow finished it off nicely.
For the police box card, I did basically the same thing, but I used the blue pine branches to form the tree top. I didn’t have a stamp that says time, so I die cut the letters to spell everything out.
I can’t decide which card I actually like better. Which is your favorite? The angel was inspired by our own Christmas tree topper, which is also from the fandom. Every year, someone new notices the sinister angel atop our tree. We get a kick out of shocking people. You know what they say, “the family that creeps people out together, stays together…”
Thanks for stopping by today. You can find more inspiration for this set on the Kindred Stamps blog and I’ll be back soon with another fun card. Until then my friend, stay crafty…

Love em, love the colors they really pop !
Both are really cute. I love the sinister angel. As a big fan of Halloween and Thanksgiving I HATE how retailers have shoved out both of those holidays by putting up Christmas everything in their stores now as early as APRIL!! UGH. In years past starting Christmas the day after Thanksgiving made it all fun and left the other two holidays to be celebrated on their own. How’s that for a Christmas Grinch/sinister Angel? 🙂
Ha! Great stuff. I live with a whovian, too and have been looking for images to use for cards for him. These might do the job. Your cards turned out great. Love your “family that creeps together”’saying, too. Haaaa!
