Yippee!

Hey crafty friends! It’s time for The Rabbit Hole Designs‘ new release and inspiration hop! Today we’re showcasing the new Doggone stamp set and I’ve got a pair of fun cards for you.

My first card features all of the dogs from Doggone. I stamped, embossed, and Copic colored the images, then cut them out with my ScanNCut. I die cut the trees, grass, and banners from colored cardstock, then added some ink blended shading. I taped off a 2.75″ area on the front of a white card base and ink blended a cloudy sky background. I glued the pieces onto the card front to create a scene. I popped the corgi up with foam tape for a little extra dimension. To finish the card, I die cut the yippee sentiment three times, stacked them to form a thick embellishment, and glued it in place. Then, I stamped, embossed, and die cut the sentiment strips and popped them up with more foam tape. I added a coat of Aqua Shimmer pen to the poodle for a little sparkle, but overall this card feels very masculine. I made it with my dad in mind. 

My second card is a thank you card. Instead of using the dog images, I decided to make a dog collar and focus on the sentiments. I die cut a stitched strip three times and stacked them together to create a thicker element. Then, I punched a hole in the center and set a silver eyelet. I die cut a round and square tag and embossed the sentiment onto one. I die cut a pink heart and stamped and fussy cut a bone from the Doggone set and glued them onto the silver tag. I die cut the word thanks three times and stacked them together. To add more interest, I ink blended darker pink ink onto the pink pieces. I added several shades of brown ink to a brown card front to mimic dog fur. I used silver die cut jump rings to attach the tags to the collar and glued them to the card front. I glued the thanks word to the bottom and added a coat of Aqua Shimmer pen. Then, I glued the card front onto a white card base.
