🌟 Guest Designer Spotlight: Deepa Robbins 🌟

Hello crafty friends! I’m Deepa from @deezinesbyd, and I’m so excited to be sharing a project today as a guest designer for Pear Blossom Press! If you love interactive cards with a touch of magic, you’re going to adore today’s project!

For this card, I created an elegant floral spotlight shaker card featuring the wonderful Halo Lights from Pear Blossom Press. These clever lights create a soft circular glow that sits beautifully behind a window, making them perfect for creating a spotlight effect.

Building the Card Design

I started by designing the card front with a circular window that would act as the focal point of the card. Around that window, I arranged some soft, elegant florals to frame the spotlight area and add a touch of sophistication.

Next, I built the shaker element, filling the window with sparkling sequins and shaker bits. Shaker cards already have such a fun interactive quality, but this is where the magic really begins.

Adding the Halo Lights

Behind the shaker window, I added the Halo Lights from Pear Blossom Press. These lights are designed to create a beautiful glowing ring, which works perfectly with a circular shaker window.

When the light is activated, the sequins inside the shaker begin to twinkle and shimmer in the glow, almost like tiny stars dancing inside the spotlight. It adds such a magical effect and really elevates the design.

One thing I love about cardmaking is mixing products from different brands, and this project is a great example of how easily everything can come together. Pairing the Halo Lights and stamps from Pear Blossom Press with florals and supplies from my stash allowed me to create a card that feels both elegant and playful.

Photos never quite capture the sparkle and glow, so I also created a video where you can see the halo effect and shaker sparkle in motion.
