CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
I’m so happy with how this card turned out; it has a dreamy, nostalgic feel that reminds me of an old English village by the water.

As always, I began by die-cutting all the elements from a variety of colored cardstock. It took a bit of time, since there are quite a few small pieces to assemble, but the process was truly enjoyable. For the A2 background panel, I chose an old patterned paper from my stash, then layered on die-cut mountains and clouds to set the scene.

I knew from the start that I wanted the lighthouse and a nearby house to light up, so I added vellum tinted with a yellow alcohol marker behind the windows for a warm, cozy glow. To create movement and depth, I used foam tape behind the waves and smaller pieces to adhere the houses. I routed the wires carefully around the windows and secured them with double-sided adhesive for a clean finish.

After considering a few options for the “push” indicator, I decided to stamp it on one of the rocks. It’s subtly integrated into the design, which I love.
For the sentiment, I used the Butterfly Bliss stamp set by PinkFresh Studio. I think the font matches the coastal theme very well.

A few delicate touches of a glimmer pen were the perfect finishing detail. It’s tough to capture the full shimmer in photos, but in person, the shine is just beautiful.
If you haven’t tried EZ-Lights yet, I highly recommend them. They’re surprisingly simple to use and add such an enchanting element to your handmade projects. I hope this card sparks a little inspiration for your own light-up creations!
