A Light-up Fairy Garden with Guest Designer Lidya

Hello, crafty friends! This is Lidya, or @leeds_craftroom on Instagram. I’m thrilled to be a guest designer for Pear Blossom and excited to share my project with you today. This happens to be my very first light-up card—yes, you read that correctly! I’ve never made a light-up card before, and I’m so excited to show you how easy it is to create a sweet light-up thank you card using the Halo Light! Now, let’s get to the fun part together!

Products Used:

Pear Blossom Press Halo Light Combo Pack

Pear Blossom Press World’s Best Foam Tape

Pear Blossom Press Stamp and Die Bundle

Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Birdhouse Add-On

Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border Dies

Hello Bluebird Fairy Garden Stamps

Hello Bluebird Fairy Dance Stamps

First, I stamped all the images, colored them using Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. I took a white cardstock and die-cut it using the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Birdhouse. I colored them using Distress Oxide and added all the vines. I stamped the sentiment from the Hello Bluebird Fairy Garden Stamps.

Next, I figured out where to put the battery unit and drew lines as a guide. Then, I adhered the battery unit with double-sided adhesive and put in the included battery.

For the back panel,  I took a white card stock and ink blended Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass. I then splattered it using white and gold watercolor paint. To help me build the scene (and also to hide the battery holder) I die-cut a white cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Heart Garden Border Dies. I then ink blended Distress Oxide Peeled Paint,  Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.

Finally, I adhered the birdhouse and the heart garden border to my back panel using the World’s Best Foam Tape – I was super impressed by it! It was temporary at first, making it easy for me to adjust and add it to the back panel.

I love how this card turned out and how easy it was to make a light-up card! I hope you enjoyed the card I’ve shared with you today! Thank you so much for stopping by! Follow me on Instagram @leeds_craftroom to see more of my happy creations! Have a wonderful day! XOXO, Lidya
