Adding Sparkle and Glow with One Light

Hello and welcome back to the Pear Blossom Press Blog! Enza Gudor here, and today I’m sharing another holiday card featuring One Light.

There’s something so cozy about this window scene; it instantly feels warm and welcoming. I created it using the Spellbinders Window Wonderland October 2025 Large Die of the Month, and I love how the design is just begging to be lit up. It’s the perfect backdrop for adding lights and bringing that magical glow to life.

SUPPLIES:
One Light – Pear Blossom Press
World’s Greatest Foam Tape – Pear Blossom Press
A2 Vellum – Pear Blossom Press
Spellbinders – Window Wonderland
Trinity Stamps – Holiday Gnome Stack Stamp Set
Trinity Stamps – Holiday Gnome Stack Die Set
Cardstock – Scrapbook.com
Kuretake – ZIG – Memory System – Wink of Stella II – Clear

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:

I began this project the way I usually do, that is by die‑cutting the window frame. This time I chose a mix of pink shades for a soft, cheerful look. To brighten things up, I added crisp white trim, and for the curtains I couldn’t resist gold glitter cardstock (because honestly, who wouldn’t love glittery drapes at home?).

Once the pieces were glued together, I started planning the lighting. I decided on the One Light for its superior brightness, knowing that if I left enough space around the battery unit, the entire window would glow beautifully. To enhance that effect, I cut an A2 piece of vellum to fit the three window panels and tinted it with a yellow alcohol marker, instantly adding warmth to the scene. For the background panel, I experimented with white, light brown, and finally the same pink as the window frame. The pink won out, giving the light a lovely, soft hue that tied the whole design together. After adhering the battery unit to the bottom panel, I positioned foam tape all around it and glued it down onto the main card base, as shown in the image below.

To complete the card, I added a snowy touch with sparkling white glitter cardstock along the top and bottom of the window. This time, I chose not to stamp the “push” button on the front. Instead, I’ll let my note to the recipient guide them to discover it, turning the card into a little treasure hunt with a hidden surprise.

To finish things off, I added a playful, pun‑filled sentiment from the Trinity Stamp Holiday Gnome Stacks set. It was the perfect touch to bring personality to the scene.

What makes this card extra special is the glow from the Pear Blossom Press One Light, which transforms the window scene into a warm, inviting display.
