Extended Family – Kindred Stamps Release

It’s time for the new release from Kindred Stamps, and I’ve got some sneak peeks of Extended Family! The images pair well with Spooky Family, and I’ll have a few cards later this month featuring both sets. Today, I’m sharing a fun birthday card, and Christmas card with you.

If you’ve never met me in person, you may not know that I have long hair. Long enough that I am occasionally referred to as this funny little guy. In fact, I made a costume in his honor one year, but never got to wear it. I wonder if it still fits? For this card, I decided to combine him with a few die cut balloons and mask off an ink blended background. I added the birthday sentiment and tassel banners from the Llama Get This Straight set. I added some real confetti using pieces from an older Kindred Stamps shaker pack called Sweet and Sour, but any flat sequins can be substituted.

‘Tis the season to be making Christmas cards, and I couldn’t resist using this fella on a punny card. Notice the tiny jingle bells glued to the bottom of the floral die cut pieces? They really ring! I popped both the black oval, and my character and sentiment up with foam tape. The depth allows the bells to sit slightly under the black piece, and the added height of the character will hopefully keep them from getting squished in the mail. I plan to add a thin fun foam layer on top before mailing though, just in case. What do you think of the striped pattern paper? It’s from the Holiday Sweets paper pack that is being released too. If you’re as excited about this release as I am, make sure to mark your calendar for Friday, October 25th; that’s when it becomes available from Kindred Stamps!

I’ll be back soon with another fun card. Until then, creep it real… (I couldn’t help myself 😉 )
