Hello and welcome back to the Pear Blossom Press Blog! Enza Gudor here, and today I’m sharing a colorful card featuring a prototype product currently in development, the EZ-Fade lights. These lights will stay on for about 30 seconds until they fade, creating a wow factor and letting the recipient enjoy the design without having to push the button.
I used two new die sets by A Pocket Full of Happiness for my card.

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
I started by die-cutting all my pieces from the two die sets. I wanted my card to be bright and happy, so I went with a rainbow theme. The card measures 5×7″.
After trimming thin stripes (about ⅛”) from different colors of cardstock, I adhered them to a sheet of copy paper before die-cutting the cloud. Tip: copy paper is perfect for this because it doesn’t add another thick layer that would make it more difficult to die-cut the shape.
I also die-cut another cloud in a more muted shade to create a shadow layer and add more interest.
Once the cloud piece was ready, I adhered a piece of vellum to the back of the openings (eyes and smile) and arranged the lights as shown below.
To mimic the rainbow in the cloud, I used shades of the same colors for the shower of hearts. I love enamel dots, so I added some on each side of the hearts, right below the cloud.
After my panel was ready, I matted it with the Heart Stripes Supersized die. The scalloped edges match the shape of the cloud and bring in that repetition element that makes the card more cohesive. A sentiment cut out of black cardstock finished the card.
