How to Make a Light-Up Birthday Card with Blackout Embossing | @DebbieJsCraftingCorner

Looking for a creative way to make your handmade birthday cards shine? With Pear Blossom Press One Light, you can easily add a glowing effect to your designs! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how I used an embossed candle design and the blackout technique to create a fun, light-up birthday card—perfect for any celebration!

A Bright and Bold Design

For this card, I used a slimline embossing folder with a row of candles, but I wanted to make one candle really shine! By adding a Pear Blossom Press One Light, the center candle lights up, making this birthday card extra special.

Before embossing, I created a vibrant ink-blended background and used the blackout technique to make those colors pop even more. A few scattered confetti embellishments and a fun sentiment—Cake, Candles & Confetti… Oh My!—bring everything together for a festive and exciting design!
