My First Ever Light Up Card by Guest Designer Simeen

Hi Friends! Simeen here, and I am SO excited to be guest designer this month on the Pear Blossom Press blog! I have a super fun project to share with you featuring the EZ-light and some fun Halloween products.I have never made a light up card before, but this was so easy to do. Below you will find my supply list and some details about creating this sweet card!

My first step was to create the Witches legs and boots. I dug up some Halloween pattern paper that has been sitting in my stash. I cut out some additional legs from white card stock for some sturdiness. I then cut out some black boots and buckles from white glitter cardstock.

After stamping out my sentiment, it was the fun part – using my EZ-lights! I thought it would be sweet to have some lights come from the boot buckles. I placed the Witches legs where I planned to glue them down and poked a hole with my craft pick on the buckles to allow the light to come through. I marked with a pencil on my panel where the light should go and covered the holes on the buckle with some vellum.

After testing it out a few times, it was time to adhere everything down. I taped down my lights and glued the legs down to my panel. And lastly, I stamped out some stars where you need to press down.

My first Halloween card of the season and my first light up card was done!

Thanks for stopping by! Looking forward to sharing one more card later this month.
