Soda-lighted to Know You

Hello and welcome to the Pear Blossom Press Blog! Enza Gudor here, and today I’m sharing a fun card featuring the Halo Light.

I used the Concord and 9th Soda-lighted stamp and die set for this punny, floral card.

SUPPLIES:
Halo Light Combo – Pear Blossom Press
World’s Greatest Foam Tape – Pear Blossom Press
Soda-lighted stamp set – Concord and 9th
Obsidian Pigment Ink – Altenew
Dew ink – Simon Says Stamp

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
I started by stamping the soda can on a piece of vellum with Simon Says Stamp ink in Dew; I then heat-embossed it with clear shimmer embossing powder for a lot of sparkle. I did the same with the “to know you” part of the sentiment, but for this, I used Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink, which I again heat-embossed with the same embossing powder.

Wanting to create a ring of light behind the floral arrangement, I die-cut a 2″ circle on the background panel right above the soda can to fit my Halo Light and covered the hole with vellum. After adhering the ring and the battery unit to the back of the panel with double-sided adhesive, I added foam tape to attach the panel to the A2 card base, but not before covering the ring with a piece of soft yellow card stock to warm up the lights.

As the ‘Push here’ button could not be easily placed in between the foliage without looking crowded, I added a little arrow indicating where to press. I thought it worked out perfectly.

I hope this card inspired you today. As always, you can find me on IG @enzam78. Thank you for stopping by. See you next time.
