Super Simple Holiday Light Up Card

If you’re looking to give someone a truly special holiday card this year, this light-up project is exactly what you need. This card has gorgeous texture, sparkle, and shine—and the best part is that it lights up! But here’s the thing: it’s actually super quick and easy because the entire background is a printable panel.

I’m using the One Light to illuminate the big star on top of the tree, and we’re stepping this up with shimmer spray on the sky, a metallic frame for extra shine, and amazing textured snow using a snow marker and just a tiny sprinkle of glitter. The die-cut sentiment gets layered with a hint of drop shadow, topped with white glitter cardstock for even more texture. Is there such a thing as too much sparkle on a holiday card? Because I’m not sure there is!

The actual light-up mechanism is so simple—you just need One Light and some foam tape to give it the right height. I used the PB Press stamp and die bundle to stamp “push” right on the front so recipients know exactly what to do. This is definitely a chunky monkey card that’s perfect for hand-delivering or tucking into a box with a gift. If you have lights in your stash and you’ve been afraid to use them, now is absolutely the time to give this a try!
