I-crafter’s new Oval Box Pops is really cool! Have you seen it yet? Assembly is quick and easy, and the add-on sets give you tons of decorating options. I combined it with the Easter Add-on for today’s cards – the cutest Easter pop-up card ever! Plus, a pair of quick and easy mini-slimline cards.
Let’s start with the pop-up! Like I said, assembly is very easy. You cut out a pair of the oval bases from the Oval Box Pops, and fold each of the score lines in the same direction (mountain folds). Glue the tab to the wide strip, where they meet when folded flat. This creates half of the oval. Repeat for the second base piece. (I promise, when you have these in your hands, it’s really simple and intuitive.) Before gluing the oval halves together, tuck in your decorative elements. The base die set comes with floral pieces. I created a scene with the Easter Add-on set, as well as a few flowers from the base set. I love the whimsical designs and gorgeous details. You can cut your pieces from colored cardstock, or if you’re like me, you will want to color your own. I cut everything except the green base and grass from white cardstock, and colored them with Copic markers. Since the pieces can be seen from all sides, I colored the front and back of my die cuts. Isn’t it adorable?!

I love all of the possibilities for the Oval Box Pops, I plan to mix and match it with other sets, as well as the add-ons. And just in case you think the add-ons are only for pop-ups, think again! I made a pair of mini-slimline cards using dies in the Easter Add-on set. To keep these extra easy, I didn’t color anything; I simply cut the pieces from colored cardstock scraps and layered them together. For a little extra dimension, the basket and the sentiments are stacked three layers high. The card fronts are also elevated with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to know which is your favorite, and I hope I’ve inspired you to give the new Oval Box Pops and Easter Add-on set a try. I’ll be back later in the week to share what I made with the Unicorn Add-on set too! Make sure you head on over to the i-crafter blog to see what the rest of the team has created with the new release.
