Hello my crafty friend! Today I’m super excited to introduce you to an awesome new product that will make it easier than ever to create your own light-up cards – the Power Pack! It’s a battery holder and switch combo that you stick to your card base. Then, put your LED sticker(s) down where you want light, and connect them with some copper tape. Easy peasy! My husband I developed it to get the hard part out of the way, so you can spend more time on the fun part – designing your card!
Check out how easy it was to light up this pretty little wedding card…
As I mentioned in the video, to celebrate our grand opening this week, we’re hosting a Mega Blog Hop with some of your favorite designers participating! You’re going to be blown away by these BRIGHT ideas!!!
Did you see that lineup? Wowza! There are some rock stars in there!!! In the video, I also mentioned prizes!!! Way to bury the lead, right? π We are giving away a Power Pack Kit to (10) ten lucky winners. In addition, Kindred Stamps has generously offered to send (2) two more lucky winners one of the stamp sets seen on Rachel and Marcia’s cards! To enter to win, all you have to do is comment on as many of the blogs as possible by 11:59pm PST on May 4th, 2019. You will receive one entry per blog that you comment on. If you comment on 10 blogs, you will receive 5 extra entries. If you comment on all 20 blogs, you will get 20 extra entries! So make sure you visit them all!
Need your Power Packs now and can’t wait to see if you’ll be one of the lucky winners? Don’t worry, I’ve still got a sweet deal for you! Customers in the US can enter the code FREEUSA to receive free shipping on orders over $9 until May 11, 2019.
International customers can enter the code INTL5 for $5 off International shipping until May 11, 2019.
In order to help customers in Canada avoid high shipping costs, my amazing friend, Kim Brown-Blyleven, will be listing Power Packs in her Etsy shop. Kits are en route to her now and as soon as she receives them, she’ll get them listed in her shop. The coupons above will not apply to orders from her shop, but I think Canadian customers will still come out ahead.
For complete instructions on how to use Power Packs in your light-up cards, visit our how to page. To order Power Packs now, head over to the shop!
In the video, I promised links and measurements for the products I used in my card… I started by painting my background onto a 5Β½” square of watercolor paper with Prima Watercolors and adding some Heidi Swapp gold Color Shine. I die cut the ring embellishments using We R Memory Keepers nesting circle dies measuring 2″, 2ΒΌ”, and 2Β½”. The diamond pieces were cut using a set from Echo Park. The congrats die is from Heffy Doodle. I built the circuit onto a 5Β½” square card base using a Power Pack Kit and I used a Lawn Fawn set to stamp push here over the button in Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink. To adhere the pieces together I used a Glue Sponge as well as PVA glue in a Fineline applicator.
Whew, that was a lot of information! If you have any questions or I forgot anything, please let me know in the comments below. I look forward to hearing what you think of the Power Pack and I hope you’ll give light-up cards a try! Thanks for stopping by today, and don’t forget to visit the other blogs in the hop! Give them a follow too, or sign up for their newsletters so you can stay in touch with these talented ladies!
