Bright Ideas with MFT

Hey crafty friend! As promised, I’m back with more EZ-Light inspiration. And I’m not the only one with a light-up card today. I’ve teamed up with the MFT design team, and some crafty friends, to share lots of bright ideas…

If you haven’t seen MFT’s new release yet, you’re in for a nice surprise. And you’ll definitely want to trick-or-treat yourself! There are lots of goodies for Halloween, along with fun new camping sets, including the Birdie Brown Adorable Adventures. That’s the set I’m working with today. I wanted to create a special anniversary card for my husband. He proposed one day while we were hiking in our local mountains. This year for our anniversary, we are planning a camping trip to celebrate. So of course, a camping themed card is in order! Notice the way I positioned my characters? It looks like he is down on one knee proposing, and she is thrilled! It’s like this set was designed for me. To make the card even more special, I decided to light up the sunset behind our couple. 

This is one of those cards where it’s easier to show you how I created it, rather than try to explain, so I put together a video for you… 

Did you notice that it took much less time to add the lights to this card, than it did to color the sunset? That’s my favorite part of using EZ-Lights. They’re ready to use; you just tape them in place and cover them up. It frees you up for the fun parts of cardmaking!
