Hello and welcome back to the Pear Blossom Press Blog! Enza Gudor here, and today I’m sharing a sweet holiday card featuring Twinkle Lights.
This card has a very nostalgic feel that I love. When I saw the Yutelide Lane Bundle by Concord & 9th, I couldn’t resist. It’s the perfect design to add lights to it.

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
To begin, I die-cut all the main elements for the card. To add texture and dimension, I embossed the house shape and the background layer of the door using the Lumber 3D embossing folder. This gives the structure a woodgrain feel that’s perfect for a holiday scene. The Yuletide Lane set includes a stamp designed to mimic house siding, so I stamped it in dark brown ink to enhance the house and give it a more realistic, rustic look.
Next up: the wreath. Since I planned to light it up with Twinkle Lights, I first adhered all the layered pieces together. Then, I created three small holes in the wreath—these served as a guide to punch matching holes in the background layer, making it easy to position the lights exactly where I wanted them to shine through.
To cover the holes, I die-cut small circles from clear vellum and tinted them with a red alcohol marker. Once dry, I adhered them over the holes in the wreath to cover the openings and soften the glow from the Twinkle Lights. You can see how it looks from the back in the photo below.
To guide the recipient to the “push” button, I added a small arrow pointing to one of the dots where the battery pack sits beneath the card. This helps indicate exactly where to press to activate the lights, making the interactive element easy to find and use.
