Since New Years Eve is tomorrow, for my card today I chose the Mama Elephant Shine with Love Stamp set to pair with the Pear Blossom Press Twinkle Lights.

CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
I do enjoy making one-layer cards, so to start my project I first stamped my main images onto masking paper and cut out my masks. Next, I stamped my images onto Copic Xpress It paper, applied my masks, and ink-blended the background using Distress Oxide Inks. The colors I used include: Old Paper, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Uncharted Mariner. Using my Bokeh stencils, I next applied a thin layer of white pigment ink to add some visual interest. Once my ink-blending was complete, I carefully stamped my sentiment and my sparkler halo images in Versamark Ink before applying gold embossing powder and heat setting the embossing powder. I then reapplied my masks and splattered a little metallic gold paint to finish off my background. Lastly, I removed my masks and colored all of the images using Copic markers before moving on to the lights.
For the lights, using a hole punch I carefully cut holes in the center of each sparkler halo image where I wanted a light before applying a gold-colored vellum to the backside of my panel to cover the holes. I then carefully taped the lights to vellum, ensuring each light lined up with its corresponding hole before taping the battery holder to the lower right side of the panel. I then applied the World’s Best Foam Tape to the back as shown below, before adhering it to a card panel cut from brushed gold cardstock.
To finish everything off I glued my matted card panel to an A2-sized folding card-base cut from bright pink cardstock and I stamped a cute little “press” sentiment on the front of my card where the button is located using a stamp from the PB Press Stamp and Die Bundle.
My card is complete and ready to give to a friend for the holiday. Thanks for reading and Happy New Year!
