Join Me at the Bella Con Virtual Retreat

Hey crafty friend, I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be teaching at this year’s Bella Con Virtual Retreat in February! I sure hope you’ll join us!!! In addition to the fun pair of light-up cards I’ll share in my workshops, you’ll have a chance to create lots of fun crafts with a bunch of other awesome teachers too…

The fun starts Thursday evening, February 23 with a PJ party and some demos. We’ll meet the teachers and get to know everyone. The PJ party will be open to everyone (not just retreat attendees). Then, workshops and mini-classes begin Friday and run through Saturday. They will be broadcast LIVE in a private Facebook group, just for attendees. The nice thing about virtual classes is that if you miss any sessions, they will be available to rewatch at any time in the Facebook group. We are also encouraging people to share photos of what they learn to make with the group and cheer each other on! It’s going to be awesome!

Here’s a peek at the cards we’ll make in my workshops…

Who else is teaching and what will we be making? I’m so glad you asked! Bella Con is brought to you by the publishers of Bella Crafts Magazine (get your free copy here). It’s a publication dedicated to all types of crafts, so the event encompasses lots of different crafts as well. In addition to light-up cards with me, we’ll learn no-line coloring and ink blending techniques with Karen Hightower. We’ll make a vintage photo journal and small storage drawer with Eileen Hull. Julie McGuffee is going to show us how to etch glass and create beautiful string art. We’ll play with textiles as Jean Kievlan teaches us how to make a pair of fabric wrapped rope projects and Pam Fischer Hughes shows us how to create rope baskets. We’ll explore mixed media with Rita Barakat and learn to Zentangle with Cindy Shepard. We’ll also have a few mini-classes mixed in! You can find a full description of all the teachers and projects here.

Ready to craft with us? Head on over to Bella Crafts to register! You have several options; with or without swag bags shipped to you. Since the retreat has such a broad range of crafts, we know not everyone wants to invest in the supplies for all of the workshops, so class kits are available a la carte from each instructor. This way, you can order just the kits you really want to work with. Kits will be available after the retreat as well, so if you decide later after watching a workshop that you’d like the kit, you will still be able to get one. For those that are registered for Bella Con and want to order the kit for my light-up card workshops, you can find it here.

I can’t wait to craft with you at Bella Con! See you soon!!!
