Hey there, Carrie Rhoades back again on the Pear Blossom Press blog to share another light up card with you that is also a shaker card! Last month I shared with you a shaker card with the new One Light on it, check it out right here if you missed it. This time I am using a Halo light for my shaker!
Don’t you think having two interactive elements on one card is so much fun! Two of my most favorite interactive elements are shakers and light ups, so why not combine them. I found the Halo Light to make a fabulous holder for the little strawberries I used in my shaker. You can see what I mean and how this card come together in the video below. If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also watch it right HERE.
Check out the video right here:
Now let’s see a few more pictures of this fun card.
This card is sized 6″ x 6″ to fit my camera, from Lawn Fawn. The opening in this camera is slightly smaller than the Halo Lights, making the two a perfect match! If you have never seen the Halo lights, they are lights on a circle base. Very Cool! I chose a strawberry theme for my card. Maybe these mice are out for a day of picking berries and took some snapshots along the way. You can see one of the snapshots below.
I thought it was the perfect addition to the inside of this card. And it helps fill in the large open space as well. It makes me want to go pick strawberries! I am hoping that soon my backyard strawberry patch will give us some fruit!
Another fun way to use this camera with the Halo lights would be to put a little scene inside the lens instead of a shaker, then the lights would light up the scene! What have you made with the Halo Lights, let me know in the comments below!!! And if you have yet to try them, I hope my card and video have given you a bit of inspiration.
Below you will find all the supplies I used to make todays card.
