To start our Reindeer tag, the reindeer stamp from the Christmas Hugs stamp and die set is stamped onto Hammermill cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Vintage Photo Distress embossing glaze. After heat embossing, the top of the Reindeer tag is die cut using the coordinating die. The edge of the cutting plate in the die cutting machine is placed just before the edge of the die so that it doesn’t cut and we can extend the length of the Reindeer tag. Two extra reindeer shaped tags (using the die only, no stamped image) are also created to create a tag base later. The embossed image is coloured simply with Copic markers and a Gold gel pen to add metallic accents. The Holiday sentiment is die cut from Fern cardstock using the Christmas greetings die set. The shadow is die cut from white cardstock and inked with Gold ink. The second sentiment is created with the Shine Bright press plate and die set using the Betterpress system and Heat embossed with Gold embossing powder before trimming down with a guillotine trimmer.

The nose from the reindeer is cut out using a craft knife and covered with a piece of Dura-lar inked with Crimson alcohol ink. The sentiment is added below the stamped and embossed ” Oh Deer” and the tag is trimmed shorter using a guillotine trimmer. The Pear Blossom Press One light is adhered to the back using Scor tape. A “Press Here” button is created using the Pear Blossom Press stamp & die bundle letting the recipient know where to press. Foam tape is added around the one light.

The tag base is created using the two blank reindeer tags. One is scored about 1/2″ from the top using a Scor Pal and Teflon bone folder. Bearly art glue is added above that score line to glue the two tags together. Once dry, the coloured Reindeer tag with foam tape is added to the tag base. If cord is desired, A Cropadile is used to punch a small hole at the top of the base tage before adding gold cord.
