As we wrap up day 3 of the release celebration for The Rabbit Hole Designs, I’m sharing one more card featuring their new shadow word dies and coordinating stamp sets. I can’t take credit for the beautiful, wispy alcohol ink background on this beautiful card though; that was created by my friend, Niccole Kulig.
As the design team coordinator for The Rabbit Hole Designs, Niccole helps us stay organized, and sometimes inspires us with special challenges. Recently, she asked us to pick a few colors, and made us each a panel with alcohol inks. The challenge was to turn it into a card. My card today features the beautiful, wispy aqua and gold panel she sent me.
I have to say, with a background that gorgeous, I didn’t want to do much to cover it up, and I couldn’t stand the thought of cutting it apart, so I simply trimmed it down and layered it onto a coordinating A2 card base. I stamped, and heat embossed a sub-sentiment from the Scripty Thanks Stamp Set in gold. The new Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool worked like a charm, to help keep stray powder from sticking to the Yupo panel. Then, I used the new Thanks Scripty Word and Shadow Dies to cut the word THANKS four times from teal stock, and the shadow from vellum. After stacking them up, I glued them above the sub-sentiment, and added a few gold gems.
Isn’t it lovely? Nobody does wispy alcohol ink panels like Niccole!
