Battle of the Dads – Light-up Cards

Alright my friend, if you missed this Sunday night, you are definitely going to want to catch the replay! (Do yourself a favor and pull up the live chat comments too πŸ˜‰ ) Micah and Tim Wiskman (Mr. Koren Wiskman) had a cardmaking battle on Koren’s channel the other day. It was hilarious!

Now because we wanted to throw them into the deep end (I mean because we had complete faith in their abilities), we told them they had to make light-up cards. Micah practiced ink blending a little beforehand to prepare. Tim had his own secret plan for his card. And in the end, they both created awesome cards!!! Grab some popcorn and watch the show…

I’m sure you’re wondering where you can get your hands on a bag of Man Glitter. Unfortunately, it’s not available yet. But you can make your own with a handful of dirt and a sandwich bag. It’s the perfect gift for Father’s Day!

Luckily, EZ-Lights are available now though! And if Micah and Tim can make light-up cards, so can you my friend!

Here are their cards! Aren’t they great?! (Micah went in and added some white dots to the top of his background after the stream ended.)

I hope you enjoyed the Dad Challenge. We sure did! And I think we can officially welcome these two into the cardmaker’s club now, right? Once a month, Koren and Tim host the Craft Cast. Make sure to subscribe to her channel and turn on notifications, so you never miss an episode!

Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be back with more shenanigans soon…

  1. That sunrise is just spectacular. I would really like to CAS it because it just pulled me right in. Saw some beautiful times like this out West on our motorcycle. You just never forget. TFS

  2. Loved both cards! Tim was going to say about what his idea was – would have liked to hear! If Micah had any comments on his process would have enjoyed hearing those too. Also, on occasion I make cards with that side orientation, so it wasn’t wrong, just unusual! Great blending Micah! Was the mAn glitter on the asphalt? Exceptional card!

    • Thanks! Alas, no man glitter, we were running short of time, and I got excited and forgot. Maybe I’ll do another guess appearance to explain proper man glitter application.
