MCM Christmas Tags

Hey crafty friend! I’m keeping the Christmas in July theme going with a set of gift tags that have Mid Century Modern vibes. When we bought our house, one of the biggest draws was the MCM style and the floor to ceiling windows. Since then, I’ve developed an affinity for all things MCM. I love the look of vintage pink Christmas trees with pearly baubles, even though I usually put up a real tree at the holidays. These tags will help me incorporate the look and feel on my packages this year.

I used i-crafter’s new Christmas Ornament Tree set to make these pretty pastel gift tags. They are quick and easy to make. Let me show you how. First, grab these supplies and meet me in the craft room…

i-Grip Locking Tweezers
i-Clik Pick
Star Gems
Rainbow Pearl Gems

For each tag, you’ll want to cut out a pair of the frames with the ornaments from pastel cardstock. Then, you’ll want to nest the detail ornament die into the solid tree and cut one out from white cardstock. Cut a solid tree out from glitter cardstock, and glue all four layers together. A pair of locking tweezers really help line things up and keep the glue off your fingers. Poke two small holes in the star at the top, then thread silver twine through and tie it into a loop. Glue a white start on top, then decorate with a star gem and pastel pearl gems. That’s it, quick and easy!

I just love the way these turned out! I can’t wait to tie them onto my packages this Christmas. I hope I’ve inspired you to give them a try and get a jump on your holiday crafting too. What colors will you use for your trees?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I’ll be back soon with more fun cards to share.
