Rain, Rainbows & Real Texture: Creating a Beaded Window Scene

Hi crafty friends — it’s Dee from @deezinesbyd here, and today I’m sharing a cozy, colorful card that brings a whole new level of texture, dimension, and shimmering movement to your cardmaking! This rich seasonal card features a watercolor window frame, an ink-blended stormy rainbow backdrop, delicate flower embellishments, and a gorgeous surprise: a realistic beaded rainfall curtain right inside the window scene!

Adding tactile, interactive details takes a handmade card to the next level—transforming it from a thoughtful note into a memorable keepsake people will want to hold onto.

To create the shimmering rain effect, I used the Pear Blossom Press NEW Beaded Rainfall Kit to string delicate seed beads across the window panel. Positioned behind the wooden window frame and table, the ink-blended stormy rainbow backdrop reflects light from every angle. I love how the soft pink floral die-cuts and “Thanks for being my safe place” sentiment come together to frame the sparkling beaded centerpiece.

I absolutely love how easy it is to incorporate beaded accents into scene designs. With just a subtle shift in the light, the clear beads glisten like real falling raindrops! Interactive details like this elevate your handmade creations from simple greetings to extraordinary works of art.
